Forza del destino
G. Verdi
Frankfurter
Allgemeine Zeitung
[….]
To his friend (later his mortal enemy) Alvaro, Eleonora’s lover, Antonello
Palombi lent his not less wider tenor, which weight and impetuous strenght were
equalled by a technically fine piano carried out with plasticity. His vision of
life in “La vita č inferno” is of impressive deep pain.
Frankfurter Rundschau
That
„La Forza del Destino” at the end should have been called “The strenght of
men”, was put in evidence since the beginning of this applauded evening by
Antonello Palombi as the lover Don Alvaro and Zeljko Lucic as the revengeful Don
Carlos. Two vocal power stations in action: one with a fine tenor bel canto, the
other with a penetrating strenght of baritone. A source of vocal energy in
tandem that left all the rest in shade.
Lucic
has been a member of the Ensamble for 7 years, Palombi is engaged also next year
at the local Opera House: the vocal power of Frankfurt.
Frankfurter Neue Presse
With his superbly forged baritone, Zeljko Lucic as Don Carlos, found in Antonello Palombi (Don Alvaro) and in his firm and emphatically blossoming tenor, a vocally equal opponent so that their duetto has been a breath-taking duel of vocal art.

As
Don Alvaro: Antonello Palombi a voice of tenor, beautiful like not many others.
